"I believe that I can support those who hope to have an experience in Japanese culture by teaching Japanese language.”

Q: How are your lessons?

I put my priority on politeness. Please feel free to ask me whatever you have a question. The Japanese language is not an easy one and sometimes nuance is not familiar to foreign people. I’m afraid that sometimes the textbook is not enough to learn the fundamental meaning of the word. I try to use metaphors for the student to find out the similar situation in their country.

Q: Why did you become a teacher?

When I lived in Indonesia 8 years ago. I learned Bahasa Indonesia which is common to the Indonesian people who lived on around twenty thousand of islands. In different cultures and different races, language is the only way of communication and I recognized the importance of learning a language. After coming back to Japan, I happen to know some foreign people are interested in Japan and believed that I can support those who hope to have an experience in Japanese culture by teaching the Japanese language.

Q: What do you like about teaching?

I have 10 years old girl and support her in studying. Sometimes it is difficult for me to know what she understands and does not and, at that time, I try to learn her way of thinking as well as her strength and weaknesses. I feel very happy when she finds out the solution finally. Above is the example of the background why l like teaching and hope to support the foreign people to have a wonderful experience in Japan by learning the Japanese language.

Q: What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are swimming, yoga, cooking, and shodo. I started shodo when I was 8 years old. Shodo makes me calm down. If you are interested in shodo please let me know.
