Oosaki Sensei

Shinjuku Japanese Teacher

Branch: Shinjuku Language School
Lessons: Group and Private Lessons

"I will adapt our lessons to what you request and what I determine you need so that you can learn just the right amount of Japanese."

Why did you become a Japanese teacher?

When I was living abroad, everyone was kind to me and I want to pay forward their kindness.

That is why I started volunteering and teaching.

What do you like about teaching Japanese?

I like teaching students from all over the world and sharing their journeys in Japan.

How are your lessons?

I have lived most of my life overseas in Europe, Africa, Asia and in the United States. I have had to learn many local languages but especially English because that is the language that most people know at least a little. Because of this, I am empathetic to your communication needs in Japanese whether you are a resident or visitor. After our initial class, I will adapt our lessons to what you request and what I determine you need so that you can learn just the right amount of Japanese.

What are your hobbies?

I am a dancer, tennis player, and traveler. Wherever I go I can meet local people through my hobbies.

Additionally, I took lessons in tea ceremony, kimono dressing, and flower arrangement (ikebana) so I can share these beautiful Japanese traditions.
