Why did you become a teacher?
I like learning foreign languages. When I learn a foreign language, I can understand the culture and the sense of values at the same time. I think that is very interesting how every place is different and unique at the same time.
As I have been learning English, German and Chinese, I was able to deepen my knowledge of those countries, and thanks to this experience, I developed a joy to communicate with people from different countries.
I would like you to communicate with Japanese people and know the uniqueness and interesting aspects of Japan through learning Japanese. I would like foreigners in Tokyo to experience the same joy I experienced and this is my reason for being a teacher here at Japan Switch.
What do you like about teaching?
I used to teach Japanese in Taiwan. When I taught Japanese to students who were not familiar with Japan at all, they gradually came to like Japan, and this experience made me happy. And when I taught Japanese to students who were studying Japanese to study abroad or work in Japan, I could help them to expand the possibilities. That was also wonderful experience for me.
Now, I came to think that I would like the foreigners living in Japan to enjoy the life in Japan and this is why I came back to Japan from Taiwan. My goal is to make you smile while I teach Japanese. Japan switch is full of fun and joy!
How are your lessons?
I value sharing about myself and learning about my students in my lesson. When we learn a language, it is important to be open minded and communicate, so I think that getting to know each other is the first step when we learn a language. So, please relax and tell me about yourself. If you would like to know about me, please feel free to ask me anytime!
What are your hobbies?
I like visiting new places and various countries to try new things. Every time I visit a new place, I always take a walk around the area, watch people and scenery and try new food. I really like to experience the place as how a local would and take in everything.
I was born in Tokyo, Japan, but I have so many places that I have not visited yet in Japan, so when I am free, I sometimes go travelling or go for a walk. I also like cooking, reading books, watching TV dramas, jogging and learning foreign languages.
Let me share my favorite things during my lessons!
