"The most important thing for me as a Japanese language teacher is to make sure that my students enjoy learning the language."

Why did you become a Japanese teacher?

On account of my husband's work, I lived in Hong Kong and Indonesia for an extended period of time. This experience taught me that there are many diverse languages and cultures throughout the world. It also helped me come to appreciate the joys of communicating with people from different backgrounds. Drawing on these experiences and the many I’ve had in Japan, I decided to become a Japanese teacher, hoping to be able to help those who want to experience the joy of speaking Japanese fluently.

What do you like about teaching Japanese?

The reasons for learning Japanese differ for each individual. As a Japanese language teacher, I feel joy when my students come closer to achieving their own goals and objectives, no matter how small they may seem. Seeing them make progress and succeed in their studies brings me a great sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, and motivates me to continue supporting them in their language learning journey.

How are your lessons?

The most important thing for me as a Japanese language teacher is to make sure that my students enjoy learning the language. I strive to create a fun and engaging learning environment where my students feel motivated to come back for their next lesson and continue their language studies. By fostering a positive and enjoyable learning experience, I hope to inspire my students to develop a lifelong love for the Japanese language and culture.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy taking my beloved dog for a walk, as well as going out to eat delicious food with my friends and family. I also like to stay active by doing Pilates, yoga, and playing tennis. Recently, I started taking golf lessons and have been enjoying learning a new sport. Engaging in various activities keeps me energized and helps me to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
