"As students continue studying, they start to have more questions, and I enjoy helping them solve those small everyday questions while deepening their understanding of Japan. "
Why did you become a Japanese teacher?
My aunt was an English conversation teacher, so from a young age, I was exposed to other languages. While I now study independently, I have friends from various countries and often found myself teaching them Japanese before I became a teacher. Over time, I realized how much I enjoyed teaching Japanese to others. Several friends told me, "you should become a teacher, you're really suited for it." It was the first time in my life that I felt I had found something I truly wanted to do. From that day, I immediately started researching how to become a Japanese teacher and took action. Now, I am proud to say I’ve achieved that goal.
What do you like about teaching Japanese?
I've always loved talking to people, regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Using language as a tool to get to know each other, share experiences, and build relationships is something I find most enjoyable and fulfilling.
How are your lessons?
In my lessons, I love discussing the cultural differences, ideas, and expressions that come up naturally in conversation. I truly enjoy this job because it allows me to interact with students from various countries every day. As students continue studying, they start to have more questions, and I enjoy helping them solve those small everyday questions while deepening their understanding of Japan. My hope is that, through this process, they grow to love Japan even more!
What are your hobbies?
I have many hobbies, but some of my favorites include going to the gym, taking naps, watching anime, reading manga, and engaging in fan activities. I have a lot of knowledge about anime, probably more than the average person, so let’s talk about it! I go to the gym about three times a week at my own pace, so if you have any recommendations for exercises, gym accessories, or protein supplements, please let me know!
