"Japanese is a complex language, with not only hiragana but also katakana and kanji, but I try to do my best every day to make it rewarding for my students to learn it."

Why did you become a Japanese teacher?

I used to work at the ward office, but after my mother passed away I changed jobs to become a Japanese teacher, because my mother had been a teacher before she passed away.

What do you like about teaching Japanese?

I feel that this is a very rewarding job. One aspect of the job of a Japanese language teacher is to promote Japan through teaching the Japanese language. Japanese is a complex language, with not only hiragana but also katakana and kanji, but I try to do my best every day to make it rewarding for my students to learn it.

How are your lessons?

Through teaching Japanese, I also learn a lot from my students. I try and improve every day through trial and error so that I can use what I learn from each lesson in the next lesson.

What are your hobbies?

I have a cat, so I often play with it. Also, I used to live in Kyoto, so I go there a few times a year to relax.
