Shimazu Sensei

Shinjuku Japanese Teacher

Branch: Shinjuku Language School
Lessons: Group and Private Lessons

"In Japan, there are many cultures, foods, and landscapes that I would like to introduce to you."

Why did you become a Japanese teacher?

When I travel, I like to visit famous sightseeing spots and restaurants, but I also enjoy experiencing the lives of the local people. In Japan, there are many cultures, foods, and landscapes that I would like to introduce to you. I started studying to become a Japanese language teacher because I wanted to help people experience these things through the Japanese language, which I love.

What do you like about teaching Japanese?

The class follows the textbook, but I prepare by imagining what situations the learners will use the lesson content in. For this reason, I also value the time we spend chatting about our daily lives.

How are your lessons?

I have a lot to learn from the positive attitude of JS learners. I enjoy taking time to hear about my student’s various experiences and their unique views on Japan.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy traveling, walking, cooking, and chatting with friends and family. I’m also a fan of reading fortunes, drinking alcohol, and watching comedies.
