Why do you want to learn Japanese?
From a young age I have always been interested in Japanese culture, from manga to Japanese history, i have always had a fascination with Japan. So when the opportunity arrived for me to live here and study Japanese I jumped on it. Especially since I have such an interested in Japanese culture I want to try experiencing that in its intended language.
Why did you choose Japan Switch?
I chose Japanese Switch because the lesson times were really convenient and worked with my schedule. Additionally, I really appreciate that their are no contracts, so if something comes up and I’m. Too busy to take classes then I can easily take a break and then come back a month later without worrying about breaking a contract or paying any fees. And probably the thing i love most about Japanese Switch is that their is a huge focus on small classes and actually using Japanese in conversation.
How are your lessons?
I really enjoy my classes with Wako Sensei and the other students. We gradually go through the book at a steady pace, and it doesn’t feel overwhelming at all but you’re still learning a lot in each class. And I really love how much I end up speaking in Japanese in class and I really feel that I’m improving my conversational skills. And even though I still get nervous and have a long way to go I know that I’m making good progress without having to stress.
How did Japan Switch surprise you?
I think the thing that surprised me the most about Japanese Switch were how easy going and casual the classes were. I was worried that when I signed up I would go into the class and get a lecture on grammar for two hours. However, thankfully the classes are nothing like that and I always enjoy going every week because we just casually talk in Japanese while we learn grammar and vocabulary and it feels more like I’m having fun while I’m learning rather than sitting through a lecture.
