Why do you want to learn Japanese?
I have always been interested in Japan and learning Japanese before I made the decision to come to Tokyo. I studied in England and knew a basic amount of Japanese before I came and it was enough to do daily Japanese conversation.
I also work in a Japanese environment and my Japanese is improving, but I want to take the next step from speaking enough Japanese to get by to being able to communicate whatever I am thinking. I really enjoy talking to people and have Japanese friends that I would like to have more in depth conversations with as well.
Why did you choose Japan Switch?
I was looking for a school and I saw an ad from Japan Switch. I liked how I could come in the morning before work and take a lesson and then go to work. I also saw the positive reviews from other students on the school and the price for lessons was attractive.
How are your lessons?
I am enjoying my lessons with Wako Sensei and the lessons are beneficial for me. I like how we start the lesson with some conversation in Japanese to get my brain warmed up early in the morning and then move to more challenging topics and conversation. I also like how we are not doing just textbook the whole time.
How did Japan Switch surprise you?
I had taken lessons online previously, so I had an idea of what lessons are like, but I did not know what to expect when coming to a language school.
I was curious how the teachers and staff would be but everyone was very friendly and welcoming and it made a comfortable environment for me.
